Service from the least of these to the greatest!

The leaders of SPMC believe that if we are going to raise up musicians, we need to be intentional, thoughtful, and student-minded.  Rather than ask students and institutions to come to us, on our schedule, we want to go to them, be there for them, and offer as much flexibility as possible.

This may test your preconcieved notions regarding music education in the parish or school.  The school teacher may have to adapt the music class for the sake of the current student population.  The parish musician may have to share space with others and revise his/her perspective on what it means to lead musically.  To be truly developmental, we must include others in the "game" and like a seed planted in the spring, allow others the opportunity to be planted, watered and grow.

SPMC offers developmental services to individuals and music departments all over the community.  In churches, schools, nursing homes, and other places where there are music departments, SPMC is helping others improve one step at a time.

Currently, SPMC works directly with the following:  The American Guild of Organists, Omaha Chapter; Concordia University, Seward, NE; Iowa District West- LCMS; St. Paul's Lutheran Early Childhood Center, Council Bluffs; Bethany Lutheran Nursing Home and other nursing homes in Council Bluffs; The Omaha Bakery, Omaha, Ne; Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Omaha, NE; College Hill Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, IA; The Historic Dodge House, Council Bluffs; and a growing list of other churches and schools.  Developmental services include the following:

-Program Development
-Advisement and Presentations
-Collaborative Grant Writing, Fundraising, and Partnerships
-Resource Sharing
-Faculty and Student Performers

SPMC has a goal of becoming a pioneering music development agency across the country, especially for churches and schools.  Do you have an interest in developing your music department, or music in your organization?  Contact us today!  712-322-8832 or administration@stpaulsmusicconservatory.org
