Mission Minded Music Makers!
When asked to serve as the President for a new organization that would take work begun by St. Paul's Music Conservatory far beyond its capacity, Richard Resch was up to the challange.
Rev. Resch was a professor at Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, IN for over 30 years, there serving as chief organist and choir director. Rev. Resch graduated from Eastman School of Music. He served on the Commission on Worship for the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod which helped produce the synod's current hymnal, "Lutheran Service Book." He is the co-founder of the “Good Shepherd Institute” held annually on the campus of the seminary and much more.
Rev. Resch has known about the work of SPMC for some time. In fact, he was an original contributor to the first volume of our Piano Series having these words to say:
I so wish that this had been available back in the years when I was teaching piano. The need for such a teaching resource is great. It is thoughtfully and beautifully done in every way. I have no doubt the “Hymns of the Season” series will be of enormous benefit and great blessing to the Church. Thank you for stepping up to meet this need in such an extraordinary way! ~Rev. Richard Resch
